Known as one of the “coolest” dinosaurs, Stegosaurus was a plant-eater, and while he could grow to 30 ft. or 9 meters long, his brain was the size of a walnut.
His distinctive bony back plates were filled with blood vessels, which were used to regulate his internal temperature…keeping him “cool”. But they were heavy armor too, discouraging predators like T-Rex and Spinosaurus from trying to have him for lunch !
