A truly majestic woodland creature !
But while the Moose is huge – a big bull can weigh 625 kilograms or 1400 pounds – and his horns are very impressive, they’re actually gentle animals that like to eat tender, fresh shoots from young birch trees, and tall grasses that grow in wetlands. And a special favorite food is water lilies !
Fun Fact: The loose flap of skin that hangs under a Moose’s chin is called a “bell”, and they are much bigger on males than females.
(Approx. 5.5″ long and 4″ tall.)
